Institute Bering-BellingshausenInstitute Bering-Bellingshausen (Spanish Instituto Bering-Bellingshausen para las Américas, IBBA) is a new non-profit organization whose mission fatigue — promoting dialogue of politicians, businessmen, journalists, scientists from Russia and the CIS countries with colleagues from the Americas. Institute was established by Sergey Brilev and Gerardo Lionel Bleier in Montevideo city, which is rightly called the «gateway to the continent».

The organization holds many events aiming to develop the relations between Russia and countries of Latin America, creates conditions for development of dialogue between specialists in all spheres. The institute prepares expert reports for Russian business structures about economic situation in the countries of Latin America, considerably participates in public life of the country. In June 2015 with support of the Institute a Latin American session was held during the St. Petersburg Economic Forum which allowed Russian and foreign experts to estimate a role of Russia and Latin America in new political conditions.

In October 2015 the Institute was a co-organizer of the Second International Forum «Russia and Latin America: history and modernity». Bering-Bellingshausen’s Institute creates opportunities for dialogue of specialists from Russia with their Latin American partners, acts as a coordinator of different public and scientific projects.

Founded in 1961. Today the institute of Latin America (ILA RAS) is one of the largest European centers for studying of urgent problems of Latin-Carribean America and the prospects of development of this region. In its activity ILA relies on research traditions, for centuries developing in the Russian Academy of Sciences and, in particular, undertakes a task on providing the Russian society with reliable data about both Americas.

Now ILA conducts complex researches of economic, socio-political, international and cultural aspects of modern development of state and society of the countries of Latin-Carribean America and the Iberian peninsula, simultaneously paying attention to structural reforms, change of political and social systems, solving of domestic and the international conflicts. In an area of interest of ILA there are also problems of cooperation between Russia and countries of the specified regions and ways of their optimization on a bilateral and multilateral basis.

ILA regularly holds scientific conferences, symposiums, round tables, seminars with participation of Russian and foreign scientists. The Institute maintains communication with more than 200 foreign scientific centers, participates in a number of international associations and organizations, including: International Federation of studying Latin America and the Caribbean Region (FIEALC), European Council for Social Research on Latin America (CEISAL), Latin American association of political sciences (ALACIP), Council for the Latin American researches in the countries of Asia and Oceaina (CELAO). The Institute maintains relations with such influential international organizations as Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean Region (CEPAL), the Organization of American States (OEA), Ibero-American community, Inter-American Development Bank.

The Roscongress Foundation is a non-financial development institution, major organizer of congress and exhibition events.

The Roscongress Foundation was founded in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

The Foundation’s events draw more than 80,000 participants each year from 206 countries and territories, with more than 10,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 2,500 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with economic partners from 93 countries worldwide.

8 criesThe Regional Coordinator of Economic and Social Research (CRIES)

The Regional Coordinator of Economic and Social Research (CRIES) was established in Managua in 1982. It is a network of more than 70 research centers, think tanks, NGOs, foundations, professional associations, experts and academics from Latin America and the Caribbean. Its mandate is to promote economic, political, environmental and social research as well as participation in public debate, empowerment and the impact of civil society on the regional and global agenda.

In this sense, CRIES has established its research projects on a participatory methodology, especially in Central America and the Caribbean, beginning most of its work with consultations and analysis in grassroots communities and building from there to reach national, regional levels and international.

Their projects are aimed at producing and disseminating contributions on different issues of importance to Latin American societies with the aim of achieving better citizen participation and thus overcome the current democratic deficit. The majority of its work has been carried out through dialogue with different communities of experts (including communities and academic networks), with key government actors and with regional and subregional intergovernmental organizations, obtaining significant results that have been reflected in the regional security agenda. , environment, sustainable development, integration, human rights, democratic governance and prevention of violent and / or armed conflicts.

CRIES has status as a social actor in the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and consultative status recognized by the Organization of American States (OAS). In the past he has been a member of the Consultative Council of the Civil Society of the Central American Integration System (CC-SICA) and is a member of the Civil Society Council of Mercosur.

Throughout its history, CRIES has positioned itself not only as a regional actor but has also established alliances with broader networks at the hemispheric and global levels to achieve its goals.
